Marathon FA/FR series fibre optic infrared sensors - One & Two Colour

211Raytek Marathon infrared temperature sensors are designed for harsh environments such as in metal and glass processing industries measuring temperature range from -40 to 3000șC. These thermometers contain advanced electro-optics, smart digital electronics, and a built-in user interface, all in a rugged, compact housing.
Marathon series in highly confined installations and
harsh industrial environments

Marathon FA Fibre Optic infrared sensors are designed to measure temperature ranges from 250 to 3000șC in highly confined installations in harsh industrial environments, otherwise inaccessible by non-fibre optic thermometers.
Marathon FR fibre optic ratio thermometer accurately measures targets that are: in confined installations, obstructed by smoke, steam, particulates, or smaller than the instrument field of view or located within strong electromagnetic fields.
    • Rugged fibre optic measurement systems
    • Simultaneous analog & digital outputs
    • Laser aiming available (selected models)
    • Fibre cable rated to 315°C available (selected models)
    • Field calibration software included at no charge
    • Windows DataTempź software for data acquisition, display & analysis
    • Single and dual wavelength models

The fixed focus optical head consists of a small stainless steel cylindrical housing & lens assembly. The optical head accommodates an air purge accessory to prevent lens contamination & the fibre optic cable is protected by metal armour. The assembly accommodates a small bend radius for threading through tight spaces.

The Marathon FA Fiber Optic Temperature Sensors include Raytek DataTemp Multidrop software to enable easy and consistent installation, configuration and data capture across the following applications: steel and metals processing, glass processing, semiconductor manufacturing processing

The Marathon FA1G, specifically designed for measuring glass temperature from 750 to 1675° permits measurements in melter, refiner, regenerator, and forehearth temperatures.

The FR Optical Head consists of a small stainless steel cylindrical housing capable of withstanding ambient temperatures up to 200°C or 315șC. The Optical Head accommodates an air-purge accessory to prevent lens contamination. The fiber optic cable is protected by stainless steel metal armor.
